Toy Soldiers is an indie action simulation/strategy game developed by Signal Studios and Krome Studios and published by Signal Studios. In this action-packed strategy game, you will command antique toy soldiers from World War I in a diorama made from wood and plastic. Your goal is to gain control of the trench-filled battlefields of Europe. The diorama takes place in various locations like a child’s bedroom, lounge, library, or in dressers. There are 50 controllable units which includes machine guns, mortars, and tanks which you can also upgrade into more powerful weapons. Various units can be created and controlled depending on the game perspective – strategic, or third-person action. In single-player campaign mode, you’ll get to enjoy a tower defense-style campaign which involves defending your base from British or German soldiers. Destroying enemies will award you with money which you can use to equip greater defenses. Completing the campaign will unlock the Survival Mode where you will fight continuous streams of enemies, and your goal is to last as long you possibly can. As this is a family-centered game, when a soldier dies in battle, it simply explodes into plastic chunks but do not display blood and gore.
