The Long Dark is a survival simulation video game published and developed by Hinterland. In a game for the first person, you are plunged into a North America devastated by a geomagnetic disaster to all technology and infrastructure. You are a suvivor of this disaster and will have to struggle make the most of this new environment … The main danger is nature! Forget zombies, epidemics and other usual risks here, it is the lack that will be your concern, lack of food, lack of heat, lack of water … all in an open world. The weather does not help you in your quest for survival. Snow and rain will cause you to have to quickly find enough to clothe yourself, find shelter or light a fire with the items at hand. The Long Dark is one of the games that require a very attentive and pragmatic character. The atmosphere is totally immersive and scenery sublime. The music is triggered at certain times of the game, which gives a very cinematic effect. The graphics are very nice with a style similar to The Walking Dead and Borderlands, in short this game has it all!
