Shadow Warrior is a first-person shooter game developed by independent developer Flying Wild Hog (Hard Reset) and was first developed by using Ken Silverman’s Build engine and improved on 3D Realms’ previous Build engine game, Duke Nukem 3D. Starring the kickass katana-wielding legendary warrior Lo Wang, this game takes place in Japan where our protagonist sets out on an action-packed adventure and goes through various levels to face the evil shadow beings sent by Zilla. The main objective is to guide Lo Wang to retrieve the Legendary Sword “Nobitsura-Kage” for it is the world’s only hope for bringing an end to the Demon Invasion. The game is barbarous in many ways. With a lot of blood and a great fighting system, it will surely put a smile on the lips of your sadistic side. Absolutely one of the best re-imaginings of the old classic to date. The game is dripping with atmosphere which makes it very immersive and also involves new cool gameplay features not seen until later first-person shooter games. All in all, in the words of Wang: it’s wangtastic!
