Shadow Tactics Blades of the Shogun Aiko’s choice is the standalone expansion to the hardcore real-time tactic’s stealth game Shadow Tactics Blades of the Shogun, developed by Mimimi Games and Daedalic Entertainment. Aiko’s choice is set sometime before the climactic final events of the first game, it expands upon the past of the teams resident kunoichi adept Aiko, and her relationship with her former sensei the cunning spymaster Lady Chiyo, the team’s most formidable enemy yet, help Aiko hunt down the ghosts of her past. Gameplay-wise it contains three fully-fledged missions, set-in brand-new environments, and three shorter missions that serve as interludes between the big ones.  

• Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun Aiko’s choice is a real-time stealth game you will have no opportunity to pause the game and issue commands so timing is everything, your team has to be well-oiled machine and you have to be ready to improvise at a moment’s notice.
• In the same style as the first game, you control an elite team of assassins but in this expansion, at first, you are only able to control three of them, Aiko, Hayato, and Mugen so you need to be more creative than usual to crack the first few missions but you will form all of them together again later in the game.
• The game is fully in 3D from the slightly cartoonish character models to feudal-era Japan’s rich and detailed environments.
• Aiko’s Choice is a standalone expansion for Shadow Tactics Blades of the Shogun that means you don’t need to own or play the first game in order to play Aiko’s choice but we still recommend you play the base game anyway to get the feeling of the game’s mechanics and story.
