Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space is a point-and-click adventure game, the remastered second season of Telltale’s episodic Sam & Max games, updated by a small team of developers that originally worked on the game. Join the Freelance police once again with Sam a six-foot canine detective with a strong sense of justice and Max a hyperkinetic rabbit-thing with a penchant for mayhem an irreverent comic duo ready to fight crime in their own esoteric way. Season 2 in particular contains 5 episodes of loosely interconnected cases, where you have to win in a showdown against Santa clause, stop a giant volcano from exploding, win in a face-off with a Euro-trash vampire, and many more weird and wild cases.  

• Sam & Max above all else is a comedy game, it’s an adventure that will leave you giggling throughout its interactive story, jokes can be found at every corner of the game even as you explore unexpected places and complete brain-teasing puzzles.
• Everything about the game has been overhauled and remastered from its Lighting, lip-sync, cinematography, audio, music, and many more bringing everything up to modern standards.
• The game will give you contextual and subtle hints if it thinks you are stuck, you can even customize the frequency of these hints, suitable for all playing styles no walkthroughs required.
• There are optional driving mini-games you can take part in, drive Sam & Max iconic, 1960 DeSoto convertible for a fun drive between cases, you can even customize it with decals and upgrades that carry over through multiple episodes.

A fantastic follow-up to an amazing remaster. this off-the-wall adventure takes the core of an iconic set of Freelance’s finest and keeps it strange in higher definition. Get Sam & Max Save The World then get this.

Skunkape has done another excellent job remastering an old point-and-click gem from the Telltale archives of years past. Though I wouldn’t put the Sam & Max episodic adventures in my all-time list for the genre, they do rank highly and are absolutely worth playing if you enjoy the genre or want to experience some zany plots and characters.
