Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void is the first DLC for the action roguelike game Risk of Rain 2, the gateway to the void has opened, its corrupting energy is now spewing out across Petrichor V, Void creatures have also taken interest in the planets artifacts and took them back to their realm corrupting them, now they look towards you to add to their collection. Two new Survivors are coming to defend the planet from the threat of the void the Railgunner a powerful sniper that can deal tremendous amounts of damage from far away and Voidfiend a corrupted commando that can turn the powers of the void against itself, let it overtake you to deal tons of damage close range or contain it to be able to attack from long range.  

• A new tier of artifacts has now appeared on the planet 14 new Void-themed artifacts, corrupted versions of artifacts players know and love changing their power to the opposite of what they used to do for examples Void ukuleles now deal tremendous single target damage instead of spreading it around.
• More of Providence creatures have come out of hiding in response to the void’s invasion one of them is the gelatinous Gup from the first game it has returned to bounce survivors of the cliff, but the most powerful creatures from the expansion are those from the void terrible constructs that have been sent to capture you.
• New gateways in Petrichor V have been discovered traverse never before seen stages like the beautiful waterfalls of Aphelian Sanctuary, the pungent odor of the Sulfur Pools, snow-filled Siphoned Forest, and infiltrate the Void itself.
• Bring your friends in this new Risk of Rain 2 Adventure, in multiplayer only one player, is required to have the DLC in order for everyone to play the new levels, events, monsters, and items it has to offer.

The only flaw in Risk of Rain 2’s Survivors of the Void DLC is that the Railgunner and the Void Fiend are incredibly overpowered. However, once Hopoo Games balances both classes, Survivors of the Void is shaping up to be the best addition to the game. The new Survivors, enemies, and levels provide Risk of Rain 2 with much-needed content that appeals to new and experienced players.
