Explore the wide Metroidvania-inspired world of Monster Sanctuary. Ask assistance from the many monsters that you have in your journeys. Some monsters have the ability to fly, swim or you can also ride them for a faster commute. You can also use your monsters in battle.  

• Start with an ancient spectral familiar who will guide you in the first parts of your journey.
• Journey across the world to hatch, collect and train monsters.
• Every monster that you collect will come with unique abilities and skill trees.
• Player versus player is also available where you face off with another player and test your monster’s abilities. The last monster standing wins.

Monster Sanctuary is a Pokémon game smashed together with pixel-art, JRPGs, and Metroidvanias. If that’s not a recipe for an indie game hit, then I don’t know what is.

Monster Sanctuary might not look like any monster-collecting RPG you’ve seen before, but its blend of genres creates a fun and exciting adventure for hours. The more you put into the game, the more you’ll find to love about it. I do wish there were easier ways to track navigation and some additional options to speed up the battles, but this is a genuinely fun game that shouldn’t go unnoticed.
