Freedom Planet is an action game published and made by and independent developer GalaxyTrail. The story begins where the evil space alien, Lord Brevon, invades the world of Avalice and kills the king. He uses his son as a puppet to enforce his reign while he seeks out a kingdom stone–a jewel with enough energy to double the power of his army. Lilac, Carol and Mila set out in an attempt to recover the kingdom stone before Brevon can get to it. Choose from the three main characters—Lilac, Carol and Mila—to sprint and hurdle through levels and defeat robotic enemies. All the characters have their own unique and interesting design that make them stand out from the crowd. Lilac’s hair can be used as a whip, Carol can shoot enemies using her robot arms, and Mila’s ears allow her to fly. The characters are balanced and have gameplay styles that suits ones tastes. Don’t like Lilac’s fast-moving Sonic-like gameplay? Try Carol’s MegaMan Zero style or Mia’s puzzle platforming style. Levels have obstacles such as corkscrews, loop-the-loops, hills, ramps, and rock walls. Encounter a “mini boss” in middle of every level and fight a “main boss” at the end. After each level are cut-scenes showing the storyline.
