Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is a remake of the classic 90s turn-based RPG developed by Square Enix, Remake Intergrade modernizes everything that made the game great in the first place with a brand-new combat system reminiscent of modern JRPG’s hybrid system of real-time and turn-based combat. Mako the lifeblood of the planet is being ruthlessly exploited by the Shinra corporation with its monopoly they managed to seize control of the entire world with no one to stop them their greedy use of Mako is threatening to endanger the entire world. A group of rebel idealists called Avalanche is taking the fight to them by bombing a Mako plantation that fuels the City of Midgar. Once more begins the story that will shape the destiny of the entire world.
- Joining the Avalanche Operation is the game’s protagonist Cloud Strife a former elite soldier now turned mercenary for hire. Invited by his childhood friend Tifa he does not care for the plight of the planet personally this is just a job for him and nothing more.
- Battle System: As mentioned before the Battle system has been completely overhauled from the first game when in combat everything moves in real-time and your companions will act on their own but if you access the command menu time slows down allowing you to issue strategic commands to strife and his allies as well. It still keeps a lot of the combat mechanics from the original like limit breaks, Materia, and summons they now just work slightly differently.
- Aside from the Main game Intergrade comes with a new side story called F7R EPISODE INTERmission featuring Yuffie as the main character and her partner Sonon in their journey before meeting Cloud and the team.
- If you own a digital copy of the PS4 FF7 remake you will be able to receive FF7 remake Intergrade for free on the PS5 (refer to the official website for further details). While on the PC version you will receive additional items and cosmetics aside from the Intergrade additional content.
Reviews
Square Enix did an amazing job with the port of FF7 Remake on PC. The game runs like a dream and can exceed the console versions in terms of visuals and performance, with a beefy PC.
Screen Rant A well-judged modern adaptation of one of gaming’s all-time great adventures. The PC port doesn’t push beyond the PS5’s limits though, and who knows how many releases will conclude this remake.
