You are an Arisen, a human whose heart has been taken by the Dragon and is now eternally intertwined to the winged beast’s fate.

Create your character with a wide array of character customization options and switch between 9 available classes, each one granting unique skills, passive abilities and spells.

Form a party of 4 with the Pawn system. Create your main pawn and hire two more that you can replace in towns as you go stronger. Your Pawns become powerful allies that attack and use skills to help you defeat enemies.

Explore a vast open world set in the dark fantasy kingdom of Gransys and follow an apocalyptic epic where the arrival of the Dragon marks the end of the world.

Enjoy even more content with the inclusion of the Dark Arisen expansion which brings a new end-game dungeon called Bitterblack Isle where players will find new powerful gear and deadlier bosses to defeat.

It’s rough in parts, and numerous other RPGs tell a better story or inspire greater awe. But Dragon’s Dogma still feels enjoyably unique four years on and that’s something few of its genre cousins can claim. And the best thing I can say? Even now, I’m already itching to get back in.

It can be quite tough if you’re trying to speed through the main quest, but patient players who complete side quests and gear up their character, as well as their Pawns, will find plenty of things to enjoy in Capcom’s RPG.
