It is the follow up to the acclaimed fantasy strategy game, Dominions 2: The Ascension Wars. Taking place in a fantasy world with world altering magic rituals and capabilities of destroying vast nations, the game features a huge array of nations based on international folklore and myth. And ‘huge’ is a word to use on pretty much the entire game. There are three Eras to play in and players get to choose over 60 different nations, varying from Marignon with paladins, witch hunters and inquisitors to under water nations. Dominions 3 boasts over a thousand different units, hundreds of magic items you can give your commanders with an RPG-ish equipment system, and hundreds of different spells you can research. The game is so huge that even experienced players will find themselves exploring it and constantly discovering new strategies.
