Dicey Dungeons is a game that features a dice-based roguelike game where you depend mostly on luck and probability. Traverse through different levels where each level gets harder. Use different equipment to get a higher chance of winning

  • Choose from different and unique characters – Warrior, Thief, Robot, Inventor, Witch, and Jester.
  • Discover 499 pieces of equipment in the base game in which players and enemies use in the dungeons.
  • Procure 60 different gadgets. Gadgets can be used once per turn. You can only have one gadget at a time.
  • Each floor contains a specific amount of enemies, each enemy having its own unique equipment. As the player progresses to higher-level floors, the number, and difficulty of enemies increases.
  • Enemy levels total to the required level up the total for each floor (2, 4, 7, 14, and 18, respectively). They often guard treasure, anvils, shops, trading carts, apples, and the trapdoor to the next floor. Enemies have the same inventory size as the player (6 available spaces).

Reviews

Dicey Dungeons will make you feel like you’ve experienced a lot in very little time. There’s so much variety to these mechanics, all of it is so well-explored and executed as briskly as possible. And that’s before you even get to the “parallel universe” episodes where equipment and status effects all operate differently. There are enough ideas here for three whole games, and seemingly nothing was sacrificed in order to implement them. It suffers a little from the old roguelike’s dilemma of luck vs. repetition, but that’s not enough to stop it from being one of the best games of the year.

We Got This Covered

Dicey Dungeons is a brilliant rouge-like deck-building game full of humour, hard-as-nails gameplay and plenty of replayability. The six playable characters are so different from one another that players are sure to find one that fits how they wish to play the game. Whether you want to be an aggressive warrior or a sneaky thief, there’s something for everyone. Newbies to the deck-building genre may find Dicey Dungeons tricky to learn, but it’s worth putting the time into. If you’re a fan of the deck-building genre, Dicey Dungeons will keep you coming back for more.
