Onimusha: Warlords is an action–adventure video game that is developed and published by Capcom Co., Ltd.

Set in the Sengoku period, Samanosuke Akechi is fighting against the forces of Nobunaga Oda. Nobunaga dies and Samanosuke goes to save Princess Yuki. He is accompanied by Kaede, a female ninja.

Offering a balance of action elements as well as puzzle games, players must interact with the environments in order to get items and progress in the game. Your starting weapon is the standard katana but as you progress, you will get three elemental weapons which are: Raizan, Enryuu, and Shipuu. Also, Samanosuke has a demon gauntlet located on his wrist which has the ability to absorb the souls of the demons. Each soul will have a different color for different purposes.

The original Onimusha: Warlords launched back in 2001, and this is the remastered version. It now has improved controls, high definition visuals that can support 16:9 video screens but also the original 4:3. A new soundtrack has also been added.
